Nguyen Thi Dung
My name is Dung. I graduated from Hue Pedagogical University with 2 separate degrees: a B.A in Russian and a B.A of English.
I have been working for CHIA since Oct 2009 in Human Resources. I am grateful to be able to work in a charitable organization helping disadvantaged children who are not as lucky as us. Away from work, during my ‘downtime’ I spend most of my time chasing my beautiful daughter around the house.
Kim Giang
My name is Giang. I have a disabled daughter who has been attending CHIA since she was 19 months old. I started coming to CHIA with her in 2013 and I was then employed as therapist in 2014. I provide physiotherapy to the children and I cook for them every day, bathe them and give them their medications. I really enjoy working with CHIA and I like helping the parents to understand and also learn the therapies, so they can do it at home. My job gives me great satisfaction because I know I am helping not only the children, but their families too – having a disabled child myself, I understand the difficulties of raising one in Vietnam and I can empathise with these families.
Thuy Nung
My name is Nhung. I have a son with cerebral palsy. I started taking him to CHIA for therapy when he was 1 year old, in 2012. He is now attending CHIA and I have been working here as a carer since 2013. In my daily routine at work, I check on the children’s health and I do massage, exercises and teach them life skills such as walking, dress themselves, going to the toilet, and speech. I like working with CHIA and I am very happy when I come here because I can help the children, play with them and teach them. I also teach the parents how to do some therapy at home, so that the children can improve more quickly.
Dinh Thuy Phuong
My name is Phuong. I am a physiotherapist and have been working at CHIA since 2007. My responsibility is to provide services to children with disabilities in Quang Nam province. I am very happy to work for CHIA because in this position I have the chance to help many poor families and children with disabilities. It is important to help children with disabilities as they need our love and our encouragement as much as everyone else.
